Our Pride and God's Patience

Question: Why does God’s Justice Tarry (how long does He put up with our pride)?

I.  Introduction and Doxology (4:1-3)

Nebuchadnezzar was the most POWERFUL man on earth. 

How did the king know that this imported God of the lowly Jewish slaves is greater and mightier than all the mighty gods of Babylon? 

II.  The Dream of the Great tree

The tower of Babel is a symbol of the ARROGANCE of man

How important it is for us to preach the whole counsel of God?

Application:

We can learn from Nebuchadnezzar these two things:

1.  God is PATIENT WITH OUR PRIDE; and

      2.  Sooner or Later HE DEALS WITH IT.
