It was Jesus who called and invited Zacchaeus. (Luke 19:1-10) 2. Many are called, but few are chosen. (Matt. 22:14) 3. Taking our own cross and following Jesus (Mark 8:34) The crowd + disciples = all Christians are required of two things:
2Cor 13:5 "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-- unless, of course, you fail the test?" It is our part to respond to the call. We can either receive it or reject it within our own rights. The Holy Spirit will not force us because it is not his nature.
