Hebrews 12:1-12; 1 Peter 4:12-13
Audio (MP3) Living on Purpose means:
Our purpose for remaining & our approach to this life – TO KNOW GOD & TO MAKE HIM KNOWN How to know God? 1. Learn to believe Him (Heb. 11:1-2). 2. Share in His suffering (Heb. 12:1-2; 1 Pet. 4:12-13); Phil. 3:7-10). Experiencing pain # magnifies our experience of joy; and # connects us to our Lord. So, know God better, and experience joy better (1 Cor. 1:3-5). Know God equips us to make Him known. # Prayer: "How would You have me pray, Lord?" # "Good that God considers us worthy to suffer for Him." God has entrusted us this ministry to be "messengers of reconciliation" (2 Cor. 5:18-20). It means to be "Life-givers" (1 Cor. 3:6-9). Our Approach: # Radical belief and radical life flow out of radical relationship with God. # Living out in the open – as salt and light (Matt. 5:13): Darkness means the absence of light; to drive out darkness means you just shine your light. # Extend radical love (which you cannot make up) (1 Cor. 13; 1 John 4:19) # "It makes me cross-cultural in my home culture." # Ministry at work – Be a living letter of Christ; Be an open letter, NOT a sealed one (2 Cor. 3:2-3; Rom. 11:36; 12:1). # Here as international community members, come experience together to be equipped in order to shine out there. Come join us at our English service of the International Church in Yangon! Comments are closed.
