Hebrews 11:1-12:2; 1 Corinthians 3:10-15
Spiritual legacy (Proverb 10:7) – who might want to follow your way? What and who would you make after you? We do leave a legacy, by whatever ways either good or bad, for those who have been closest to us in life in the here and now, elsewhere, whenever we engage with people. (Psalms 6:5; 16:6; 37:18) There are many great people who left godly legacy of the faith for all generations after them, like those listed in Hebrew 11. Abel's blood still speaks (Heb. 11:4; Matt. 23:35). Jesus also left a legacy of people who believe and die for him; and we are his legacy. His word is eternal legacy (Luke 21:33; 1 Pet. 1:24). We are called to help others aware of Jesus' legacy (1 Cor. 3:10-15; 3 John 4), to follow his example (1 Pet. 2:21; John 13:14, 34; Eph. 4:32). The more we live out God's purposes, the more we produce a Christlike legacy. God blessing awaits us (Eph. 1:3; 1 Pet. 1:3); it is our responsibility (2 Cor. 5:19-20). We create our own legacy whether we reproduce a Christlike one or not. Look around, not far, and create your own legacy. Join us at our English Service of the International Church in Yangon!
