Christmas is mainly about joy, peace and love, brought about by the coming of Christ. There is no Christ-mas without Christ.
He is Jesus who came to save his people from their sins (Matt 1:21). He is the long expected Messiah whose virgin-birth, sacrificial death and victorious resurrection had been prophesied in the Old Testament.
He is God who created the universe and all in it (John 1:1-3); for him and in him all things hold together (Col. 1:17). He is the beginning and the end, who is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8). He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the Judge of both the living and the dead. He has defeated the enemy Satan; he is lifted high above every other name.
Above all, that Christ has you in his mind when he became man to carry out the work of salvation for you. Merry Christmas!
Join us at our English service of this International Church in Yangon every Sunday morning.
Winter is silent, short days. God was silent for 400 years, Israel was abandoned all those years. Then God broke the silence by speaking Zachariah and Elizabeth, and then to Mary.
The first person to recognize Jesus WAS AN UNBORN BABY. Luke 1:41
Jesus came and tasted our sadness, our winter. "Come, Thou, long expected Jesus!"
God spoke through Elizabeth, "filled with the Spirit and prophesied."
The Bible liberates women rather than oppresses them as many theologians thought.
Two special blessings of Mary:
One is unique as the mother of the Savior, and another is what we also can share, that she believed.
Welcome to our English service of Yangon International Church!
