The cross is the meeting point of God's justice versus man's injustice (1 Pet. 2:22).
God's character encompasses both justice (the throne) and mercy (rainbow) in the heavenly picture of Revelation 4:3. Mercy is kindness or favor shown to who is in an unlikely position to receive it. Mercy ministries around the world work to help the poor. God is a merciful God (Deut. 4:31; Neh. 9:31; Jonah 4:2; Dan. 9:18). King David had to rely on God's mercy in his last days (2 Sam. 24:14). A tax-collector was praying for and a blind man was begging for God's mercy (Luke 8:13, 38). God owes us nothing, but gives us everything. Beneficiaries of God's mercy are required to be merciful to others (Matt. 5:7; 9:13; Lk. 6:36). The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)…
Welcome to NLIF's English Service of Yangon International Congregation! Jeremiah 1:1-10
Why are you here? You have your purposes and plans for coming here, for coming into Myanmar. God also has His own purpose and plan for calling each of us. God's call is based on His knowledge of us. God calls us for His purposes. The answer should be our "Yes," because it is the call and assignment from the highest authority over us. Jeremiah gave excuses – reasonable ones. We often do so today. But God prepares you if He has a plan for you. "I will give you the words to speak." God is waiting for us, not that we are waiting for God. He is within us in Spirit, He is everywhere, waiting for our response to His call. Can we do it? We cannot do it by ourselves. We have to be dependent on God. Are we afraid? He said, "Don’t be afraid, for I will be with you always." Our response must be to glorify God in all we do and say. If we obey Him, this city will not be the same. The Word and Spirit of God (His presence) go with us always. We should not be afraid to go and share the message of the good news with great joy. God has a purpose for each of us. What is God's purpose for calling you to Myanmar? Jesus sends His disciples to go and bear fruit. We can bear fruit only if we abide in Christ.
We bear the fruit of the Spirit as the Spirit leads us.

Judges 21:15 This negative picture of God's unfaithful people is still true of many so-called believers today. They know the truth is near, but they choose to live by whatever is right in their own eyes. The Nature of Truth
Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth and do not sell it – wisdom, instruction and insight as well. (NIV)
We may think of several reasons or excuses for not buying the truth, but at the heart of the matter is the underlying reason, as mentioned in the holy Scripture, "people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil." That is the truth behind the world's rejection of the Truth.
To actually live by truth is costly, and we sometimes pay the price to hold on to it in conflicting circumstances. We do so, at the cost of our sinful way of life, at the price of any loss or suffering.

(John 6:33) The cross vividly shows that Jesus, the king of kings has given us all he has, received the cup on our behalf, and that we are inscribed on his palms and remembered forever. He came down from heaven and gave life to the world. He is the bread of God. In Him, we have new life. Read more... NLIF is an international church in Yangon.
