"Marked in Christ" (Eph 1:11-14)
The seal of the Holy Spirit reminds us that we are chosen, called, and commissioned by Christ. This seal gives us a great sense of security: I truly belong to Him, a sense of assurance: I am the real child of God, and a sense of confidence: I am precious to Him. So then, we choose to trust Him, we happily surrender ourselves to Him as we belong to Him. That's the life of worship. Read more... For LifeNet groups and personal reflection: 1) Do you have an experience where you felt God had forsaken you? What was the situation? Why did you think God had forsaken you? Did God not care for you? 2) The Holy Spirit was given not only to Apostle Paul but also to Christians in Ephesus. What does God speak to you through this fact? How will you respond to him? 3) In order to make the presence of the Holy Spirit more vivid or make the work of the Spirit more active in your life, what is your part to do? What will you do as the first step, within this week? NLIF is an international church in Yangon. Come and join our English Sunday worship service. What a huge claim Jesus is making of all power and authority, in all (the 7) areas of society. Nothing is left outside of his control and care (Phil. 2:9-11). So expect great things from God. How did Jesus get this authority? (Matthew 4:1-10) By refusing the temptations of Economic power, Religious power and Political power by a short-cut, Jesus decided to earn that legitimate power by dying on the cross. Thus, sacrificial love should be our mode of operation too. If we live independent, we become less human and not more like God. Welcome to the English service of our International Church in Yangon. Proverbs 3:5-6
Always trust God! Steadfast trust in God is indispensable to spiritual vitality and leadership. My expectations of God failed me, not God. Trust is a choice (Gratitude or Bitterness), a spiritual way by faith, not by proof. Spiritual life is not about victory or conquering, but about trusting. The kind of leaders the church needs today is people who are open to reveal the dark part of their life in the light of truth, and do not stop there but move on to be transformed by the power of the Spirit. This life is not free from trials and tribulations. How do you respond to life's problems? The more we grow our organization, the bigger the problems become. 1) Faith is action (2 Cor. 4:13; Psalm 116:9-10) We'll get what we speak. The more we complain, the more discouraged we get. 2) Put your faith to the test (James 1:2-4). When you pass the test, you'll get to the next level. Don't allow troubles to rob you of the joy. 3) Faith enables you to speak to the mountain (Mark 11:23-24). 4) Faith will help you to see people as special creations (Eph 6:12). If you react to bad people or bad things, it only ruins your life. Choose to be happy, not angry. 5) Faith will help you to be faithful in all you do (Gen 39:5). Joseph was faithful in spite of injustice around. 6) Faith will help you to reach your destinations (Num 26:65). Allow no complaint. 7) Faith will please God (Heb 11:6). Listen to the message...
