Conclusion Look at your own faith, beliefs, and relationship with God. Are they based on the truth of the Gospel? Are they truly Jesus-centered? The 5th Commandments “A Life of the Supernatural Love” (Exodus 20:12) "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. (Exodus 20:12)" The purpose of this commandment is to release us from the negative chain, and make us a fountain of God’s love and righteousness. It gives us a life of the supernatural love. Honor your parents because this is a covenant relationship that lasts forever. Honor them to learn how to be an honorable parent, or to be an honourable person for the following generation. (Exodus 20:8-11) God created everything out of nothing. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good, on the sixth day. God had finished the work of creation, so on the seventh day he rested. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy. (Genesis 1:31- 2:3) God had finished all his work of creation and rested. It doesn’t mean God stopped working. He is still ruling this universe with order and laws. In that sense God is very active. And he is inviting us to join in his shalom, he wants to share his rest and peace with us. The book of Daniel began with the tragic fall of Judah and the Jews into the hands of their Babylonian captors. Daniel as a young lad was taken captive into Babylon. How much reason for Daniel as a captive would have been there to hold on to God? As a slave to the Babylonian officials there seemed to be no much future for him?
